JUDA¹

b. 1755 West Africa

Frank was born of Juda in the year 1777, Union City, SC. We know not exactly where she was born, nor of her family, or the circumstances that enslaved her to the McWhorter family. The following is the only information that remains about our African heritage.

Records indicate Juda was with the McWhorter family in 1775 at the age of 20, and it would be two years later that Frank was born. To date we have found  nothing in the record that indicates Juda had any other children - when or where she died. Even the McWorter family oral history traveling through Solomon makes almost no reference to Juda.
