Headstones as referenced1 by Helen McWorter Simpson in her book Makers of History:
On Sunday, April 26 of this year (1964) . . . The markers for "Free Frank" and "Free Lucy" were uncovered, as were those for Solomon, Louise, Sarah, Francis, Squire and Commodore McWorter; Christena and Myrtle Watts; Louisa Walker Wright; Letter Walker, Mary, Lucy Ann and Luebet Vond; Moses Wagner. James Washington was buried near the front entrance. He was the last one to be buried there. We copied all the inscriptions which were decipherable, as follows:
